Angela Bettis & Erin Brown

Based on the lovely scene in Sick Girl when Misty decides to spend the night at Ida's house.

I had a go at drawing the lovely Ms. Bettis... one came out good, the other was..well...alright I suppose.

This one was from a while ago

This makes her look younger and needs work, but for now I like it.

Call her Newt, not Rebecca

Nobody calls her Rebecca..except her brother.

I'm sure the lovely Carrie Henn is sick of this....

Drake

No matter what I see the great Mark Rolston in, be it the X Files, or The Departed, I always see him as Drake. He was Pvt. Drake even when he was in that episode of Murder She Wrote.
LANSBURY WE ARE LEAVING!!!

One more Bambi Woods sketch...for now

I will draw something different, but for now, here's the lovely Bambi in her Dallas Cowboy cheerleader outfit.

Bambi Woods ....again, yeah I know.

Let it never be said, I don't service the fans, so here's more Bambi Woods as Debbie.
If you want to do a google search on Bambi, in the image section my art work pops up on page one??? How can this be? Does no one share the love for this slice of gorgeous?

Starting out with a more cartoon-ey looking Bambi W, was happy with how she turned out.

The Puma Man

I love in the Mystery Science Theater episode that at some point in the movie all three cast members, Mike, Tom Servo & Crow all refer to The Puma Man as Thep-U-Maman.

Sergeant Calhoun from Wreck it Ralph

So I absolutely loved Wreck it Ralph, and as I laughed heartily at the line about Sergeant Calhoun having the 'worst' back-story written for a video game character (cue awesome wedding ceremony interrupted by "BUGS!!!") I had this idea for a sketch of Sgt Calhoun. Based on this great piece from Alex Ross showing batman and his scars,

also a line from a Judge Dredd comic where Dredd says he "doesn't feel the bullet hits anymore' or something along those bad ass lines.
So inspired and interrupting the Devil Fish posts comes this quick sketch.
She doesn't feel the bug scratches anymore....pain is for the weak.

Here's a new sketch from 2014

Dr. Stella Dickens

She's listed as Dr in the credits but I love the IMDB description of her... Dolphin trainer, because really, when you watch either the original Monster Shark or the MST3K version...what does Stella do? (apart from Peter WAHEY!).

Seaquarium

The scientific research vessel Seaquarium, captained by Bob. Don't like the look of that shadow under the water...what could it be?

Devil Fish

This is Peter in all his European-ness. He's an electrician, and battles Monster Sharks or Devil Fishes if you prefer....get ready for more MST3K inspired art.

A Clockwork dolly

My friend Jennifer made herself up for a theater presentation that I was lucky enough to be involved with, her makeup reminded me of Alex from A Clockwork Orange, so this sketch happened. Hope she doesn't mind me making her some sort of killer.

So say we all..

Am tempted to start watching BSG from the start again, and then... then watch Blood & Chrome, will probably be able to purchase Blood & Chrome on Blu Ray by the time I'm finished.
Here's Number 6 and Starbuck for fans of Battlestar.

IT"S ALIVE....ALIVE

A good friend treated me to the double feature Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankenstein at a special screening event on the big screen. Was interesting to see these films and remember things differently from when I saw these...so long ago. Elsa Lanchester was a foxy babe back in the 30's and is only on screen for a scant 12 minutes.
So the evenings activities inspired this sketch.

Underlit lady

I don't know, was just sketching and this lady happened...maybe she's using the new iPad mini...or the iPad 4....Mmmmm too many iPads.

Gwynnie P

I've sketched Gwyneth a lot, so here they are.

From Iron Man as Pepper Potts
Using the reference of the film Seven, I think I will start a sad ladies series...keep watching for sadness.

Got my Wacom pen today...back in business.

Going stir crazy

I broke my Wacom pen 3 weeks ago, not being able to draw is a nuisance.
Here's the last work in progresses I had going before the big pen break of 2012

So this is a different take on space, with red striations on white, and of course to all Browncoats out there, that is indeed Serenity.

Total Recall remake was missing something...

...and that something ladies and gentlemen was Debbie Lee Carrington. On IMDB her character is called 'Thumbelina' but if you listen closely, her name is actually Holly in the movie. Frankly Holly kicks ass. She is sadly missed in the 2012 remake.
Here's a couple of Total Recall sketches that I did in honor of the old version...now say it with me,
GET YOUR ASS TO MARS
How long are you staying on Mars? Twoooo weeeks....

Something did stand out in the remake...Jessica Biel sure is purty.

Art work I did in July

So I noticed I didn't post any art here on the blog for a month...and then remembered I had done some art to share. A mural for friends that are expecting their first baby, I painted some murals in the babies room, my friend and father to be Dave helped me finish off some of the more problematic designs.

Father to be Dave helps with the very problematic Da Vinci design for the Spiral-o-copter that would never fly.
